• Prize Money is applicable for the Open 10K Run category as per the rules given hereunder and Event’s race regulations.

  • Only those Open 10K runners, who start their race at 5:30 a.m. and who finish within 90 minutes from the start time, and who fall within the finish positions as indicated in the Prize Money Structure, will be entitled to prize money in their respective categories.

  • Finish positions of the Open 10K Run age sub-categories, as mentioned below, will be based on the net time alone.

    Age group: 15 years to less than 20 years Age group: 20 years to less than 25 years
    Age group: 25 years to less than 30 years Age group: 30 years to less than 35 years
    Age group: 35 years to less than 40 years Age group: 40 years to less than 45 years
    Age group: 45 years to less than 50 years Age group: 50 years to less than 55 years
    Age group: 55 years to less than 60 years Age group: 60 years to less than 65 years
    Age group: 65 years to less than 70 years Age group: 70 years and above
  • Runners crossing the start line after 5:55 a.m. will not be entitled to race day timing and shall not be eligible for rankings or prize money.

  • The cut-off of finish time for rankings and prize money entitlement for the Open 10K Run participants is 90 minutes from start time.

  • Results declared on race day shall be ‘provisional’. In addition to the criteria mentioned herein, final entitlement to rankings and prize money positions shall be subject to –

    • Bib tag timing captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats, and

    • Physical verification by technical officials and anti-cheat cameras.

  • Runners found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others, will be disqualified from the competition. Such runners shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable). Further, Procam International reserves the right to take necessary legal action against the registered participant and the person who has used the running number bib on race day, for impersonation.

  • Prize winners declared may be required, at the sole discretion of the Event Promoter, to submit a certified true copy of documents of proof of identity and/or date of birth, as may be required, for disbursement of prize money. Non submission of adequate and relevant documents will entail to the participant being disqualified from the Event’s 2017 edition and liable for disqualification from subsequent editions.

  • Prize money winnings are subject to Indian Income Tax Rules and the same will be borne by the winner. TDS percentages will be based on the rates and rules in force as on date of disbursement.

  • Where applicable, winners from overseas will receive prize money equivalent in U S Dollars calculated at the applicable exchange rate.

  • Timing results: Where there is any modification required with respect to the timing results uploaded on the website post race day, either in runner’s gender or date of birth, such change must be intimated in writing at on before 25th May 2017 by 6 p.m. The relevant proof of change must be attached to this email. Changes received post 25th May 2017 will not be considered and timing results will be considered as final.

  • Protests and Appeals:

    • Any confirmed Open 10K runner of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2017 can lodge a protest in relation to the race results after the race.

    • The Protest Letter, along with a demand draft payable at Bengaluru, of INR 1,000 in favour of “Procam International Pvt. Ltd.” must be sent to the following address: Race Referee, TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2017, c/o Procam International Pvt. Ltd., #489/28, Arshiya Manor, S-3, 3rd floor, Wilson Garden, 13th Cross, Bengaluru-560 027. Only the protest letters received on or before Thursday, 25th May 2017, will be entertained.

    • The Event Promoter shall deliberate, verify and deliver its decision on the Protest or timing results modifications requested within 7 working days of receiving the letter/email. Such decision shall be intimated vide an email to the concerned runner.

    • Where the protest is decided in the favour of the complainant, the Protest Fee will be refunded to such complainant, without any deductions, within one-week of the decision. Where the protest is decided against the complainant, such Protest Fee will be forfeited in full.

    • Decision of Procam International shall be final and binding on all.
