Q. Can I apply for the World 10K race category?

Participation in the World 10K is open for only international and national elite athletes. To qualify in this race category, please enclose a photocopy of your latest official timing certificate (not earlier than 16th May 2013) along with the physical application form. Entry into this race category is subject to elite qualification criteria as set out by event promoters, Procam International Pvt Ltd. Where an applicant does not qualify for the World 10K, the said applicant shall be confirmed in the Open 10K Run race category, subject to event application rules and guidelines. You cannot apply for World 10K through online mode of registration.

Q. What will happen to my application if the finish timings mentioned in the certificate submitted by me do not qualify for the World 10K category?

Your entry will be automatically confirmed for the Open 10K Run category, and you will be intimated accordingly.

Q. Is Open 10K Run race category a timed race? And if yes, what is the finish cut-off time of this race?

Yes, it is a timed race. You will get your timing bib tag along with the running number bib at the Expo. The cut-off time to finish the Open 10K Run is 1 hours 30 mins.

Q. What is DHL Corporate Champions?

 A company/organization/firm can field a team comprising of 2 men and 1 woman for the DHL Corporate Champions, each team member covering a distance of 10 km. A company can field up to 10 such teams. The aggregate of the gun finish timings of all 3 runners will decide the finish positions of the team under this category.

Please go through DHL Corporate Champions rules and regulations and the prize money structure for corporate teams   before submitting your entries.

Q. How can I apply for the DHL Corporate Champions race category?

  1. The DHL Corporate Champions is open for participation only by registered companies (excluding Section 25 companies) and firms.

  2. Each member of the team needs to fill and sign individual physical application forms. All 3 forms of each team need to be submitted together under a covering letter of the company as per the given format along with a copy of PAN card of company/firm. Where multiple teams are being fielded, forms need to be submitted as per the number of teams formed.

  3. A photocopy of the runner’s employee ID card or appointment letter must be submitted along with the application forms.

  4. Attach a photocopy of runner’s Aadhar card or PAN card or passport along with a passport size photograph with each form.

  5. The application forms, all required documents and covering letter with the application fees need to be submitted at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Room No. 93, Gate no. 3, Bengaluru- 560 001 (Monday to Saturday, Timing: 10 am to 6 pm).

Q. What is the last date to submit entries for each of the categories?

Friday, April 24th, 2015 or as soon as running places are full, whichever is earlier.

Q. What are the various modes of entry fee payment?

  • Cheque (only local Bengaluru cheques will be accepted)

  • Demand Draft/Pay Order (payable at Bengaluru) Note: all cheques and demand drafts to be drawn in favour of “Procam International Pvt Ltd.-W10K”. Also write your full name,the race category chosen and contact number on reverse of cheque/demand draft.

  • Cash (only Indian Rupee currency will be accepted)

  • Credit Card, Net Banking and Debit cards (can be used only for online registration)

  • Scratch cards, available for purchase at our select Nike Outlets for individual registrations and Sree Kanteerava Stadium office for group registrations (can be used only for online registration)

Q. In whose name should the cheque or demand draft be made?

All cheques/demand draft to be drawn in favour of “Procam International Pvt Ltd.-W10K”

Q. How will my entry acceptance be intimated to me?

Your application is subject to the confirmation criteria (if applying for Open 10K Run) and application rules and guidelines as set out by the Event Promoters from time to time. Every individual applicant is required to visit online www.tcsworld10k.procamrunning.in and check application status for entry confirmation, on or before 30th April 2015. Q. Can I register for more than one race?

No. An individual can apply only for one race in the Event. An application form received with two options chosen, will be rejected. Multiple applications will entail all being rejected.

Q. Can I register on the day of the event?

No. Requests for registration will not be entertained post closure of respective registrations dates.

Q. Is there any upper age limit for each race?

No upper age limit.

Q. Is there any criteria for confirming my application for the Open 10K category?

Your application for the Open 10K is confirmed based on the preference criteria given below –

Your entry to the Open 10K Run category will be confirmed based on the ‘confirmation criteria’ explained in details below. Please do not apply for the Open 10K Run if you cannot complete the run in 1 hour 30 min. Applications received with a relevant timing certificate will get preference at the time of confirmation. You can also submit your latest timing certificate of the half marathon, 25 Km run or marathon race category. Timing certificate of Recognized timed relay race, where an individual covers a distance of minimum 10 km, will be considered to qualify for Open 10K Run race category.

CONFIRMATION CRITERIA:

Your application for Open 10K Run is confirmed basis on the preference criteria given below.

PREFERNCE CRITERIA:

  1. TIMING CRITERIA: For an applicant who has participated in an event and completed the distance of 10 km within 1 hour 30 mins OR Half Marathon within 3 hours 19 mins OR 25 km within 3 hour 58 mins OR marathon within 6 hours 54 mins. In order to be eligible for this criteria -

    1. The running event you have participated in must be an AIMS ratified event or an event conducted under the aegis of your state/district athletics association or sports control board.

    2. The running event was conducted within two years prior to race date,

    3. You have attached a photocopy of the official timing certificate issued to you along with this application form.

  2. WOMEN’S QUOTA: There are a limited number of running places reserved for women applicants who cannot produce a timing certificate as mentioned above.

  3. GENERAL CATEGORY: Where your application does not fall under either of the above criteria, or the application cannot be confirmed under either of the 2 above criteria for whatsoever reasons, other than the application being rejected/invalid, your application will be placed under the general category where limited applications are accepted. Applications under general category will be accepted on first come first served basis and event promoters will stop accepting applications as and when the limited running spaces kept aside for “General Category” are filled.

Important: Preference will be given to applications falling within the Timing and Women’s quota criteria for entry confirmation. Confirmation is subject to verification of your documents submitted, eligibility of your application under the given criteria, availability of running spaces and of course the Entry Rules & Guidelines.

Q. Under the Open 10K category, are there any cut-off timings for applying under the ‘timing preference’?

Timing certificates showing finish of more than 1 hour 30 min for Open 10K will not be considered under the timing preference criteria.

Q. What are the advantages in me submitting a timing certificate I have received in the last one year?

Once confirmed, the advantage will be visible on race day (Sunday, 17th May 2015). Confirmed applicants of Open 10K Run race category will be eligible for priority line-up on race day within the line-up area in their respective timing sections. This will be based on the finish time given in the submitted timing certificate at the time of registration.

Q. What will happen once I submit my Open 10K application under confirmation criteria?

Your application for the Open 10K will be confirmed based on the confirmation criteria mentioned above. Please note, confirmation is subject to –

  • Verification of documents, where applicable, submitted by you,

  • Verification of your application’s eligibility under each criterion,

  • Availability of running spaces under each criterion and

  • Entry Rules and Guidelines.

Q. What will happen to my application if I am not able to apply or my application under the criteria ‘Timed Applicant’/’Women’s Quota’, in Open 10K race category, is not accepted?

In this case, your will be placed under the general category, provided your application is not rejected or considered invalid, to be accepted on first come first served basis. Applications under general category will be accepted on first come first served basis and event promoters will stop accepting applications as and when the limited running spaces kept aside for “General Category” are filled.

Q. Are there any confirmation criteria in Majja Run / Sr. Citizens’ Run / Champions with Disability?

Confirmation preference criteria do not apply to registration and confirmation process of the Majja Run/Sr. Citizens’ Run/Champions with Disability categories. Applications for these categories will be accepted on first-come-first-serve basis, until close date of registrations or until running places for each of the categories are filled, whichever is earlier.

Q. Can I and my group of friends/colleagues submit our applications together as a group?

Yes, but ONLY if you are wanting to participate in the Majja Run or Sr Citizen’s Run or Champions with Disability. No group applications will be accepted for the Open 10K/ DHL Corporate Champions race category. Also, please do not club Open 10K / DHL Corporate Champions applications with group applications of Majja Run, Sr Citizen’s Run and Champions with Disability – such applications will be disqualified.

Q. What are the things to be remembered while submitting application forms as a GROUP?

  • Group Entries:(applicable only for Majja Run, Sr. Citizens’ Run and Champions With Disability race categories)

    • Physical Forms

      • Where 20 or more individuals submit their entries together, this will constitute a group entry. All members of a group have to fill and sign individual entry forms. Under ‘Application Type’ in the entry form, applicants need to choose ‘Group’, mentioning the group name and size of the group.

      • Please DO NOT club Open 10K run entries with group entries. Such entries will be disqualified.

      • Please note only applicants for the Majja Run, Senior Citizens’ Run and Champions with Disability categories can apply as a group; the Open 10K Run category is open for individual entries only.

      • Each group must submit their entries together one time, in a single envelope under a covering letter as per the given format <> -on an official letterhead issued by the company/NGO/ any other entity stating –

        • Total number of entries enclosed in each race category,

        • Number, date, amount and bank name of cheque/DD submitted,

        • Name and contact details of one common point of contact for the group;

        • Covering letter needs to be on a company/NGO/ any other entity’s official letter head, duly signed and stamped by the authorized signatory of the entity.

        • Only one cheque/DD will be accepted for group entries. This cheque/DD should be of the consolidated value of application fees applicable for each individual group member. The cheque/DD should be drawn in favour of “Procam International Pvt Ltd.–W10K”.

        • Deposit application forms along with requisite application fees and covering letter at our Registration office, Sree Kanteerava Stadium at Room No. 93, Gate No. 3, Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru–560 001 (timing: 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday).

    • Online group registration using scratch card

      • Where 20 or more individuals submit their entries online using only the scratch card as the payment mode, this will constitute a group entry. All members of a group have to register individually on www.tcsworld10k.procamrunning.in.

      • Payment for online group entries will be made via scratch cards that are available for purchase in bulk from our registration office at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

      • No Open 10K Run entries will be treated as part of the group.

      • Each group deciding to register online must purchase the scratch cards in advance and distribute them to its members. At the time of purchasing scratch cards, the group needs to provide a covering letter as per the given format  on an official letterhead issued by the company/NGO/ any other entity stating –

        • Total number of entries to be submitted

        • Details of payment made to purchase scratch cards in bulk i.e. cheque/DD number, date, amount and bank name of cheque/DD submitted,

        • Name, contact number and email id of one common point of contact for the group;

        • Covering letter needs to be on a company/NGO/ any other entity’s official letter head, duly signed and stamped by the authorized signatory of the entity.

        • Only one cheque/DD will be accepted for purchasing scratch cards. This cheque/DD should be of the consolidated value of application fees applicable and 6% online convenience charges for each individual group member. The cheque/DD should be drawn in favour of “Procam International Pvt Ltd.–W10K”.

      • Purchasing scratch cards does not guarantee entry to the event and the members of the group need to register online on tcsworld10k.procamrunning.in using scratch cards before the registration end date or till the running spaces are available. Event promoters will close registrations as and when the running spaces are filled.

      • Once scratch cards are purchased, it can only be used online for TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2015 edition and till the time registrations are open or running spaces are available. Unused scratch cards cannot be returned or cancelled and the amount paid for purchasing unused scratch cards will not be refunded.

      • Online entries using any other payment mode other than scratch cards will not be treated as a group entry.

      • All requisites to register online by an individual needs to be fulfilled to complete online registration.

Q. Can I fill a single application form on behalf of all the members of the group participating in the event?

NO, each member/ runner needs to fill individual application form with all the mandatory fields duly filled and necessary documents attached.

Q. Can a representative submit applications on behalf of individual runners (less than 20)?

Yes, however, a representative can submit individual applications of not more than 10 people.

Q. Is attaching passport sized photograph with the application form/online application form compulsory?

Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their photograph whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb in .jpeg format.

Q. Is attaching a Govt. issued photo ID proof with my application (including online) compulsory?

Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their Govt. issued photo ID proof whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb, in .jpeg format.

Govt. issued photo ID proof will include documents like Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Election Card, Aadhaar Card, etc.

Q. I am a student and do not possess any of the above ID proofs. What do I submit along with my application?

We will accept valid school / college identity cards for students below the age of 18 years.

Q. On what grounds can my entry be rejected or declared invalid?

Your entry can be rejected on any of the grounds listed below. A regret email will be sent to the email address mentioned in the form spelling out the reason for not accepting your entry.

  1. Incomplete form submitted,

  2. Waiver not signed,

  3. Applicant is underage for the race chosen,

  4. Mutilated form/cheque/demand draft/currency notes submitted,

  5. More than one entry form received from the same applicant,

  6. Short receipt or non-receipt of entry fee,

  7. Local Bengaluru cheque not submitted,

  8. Required documents not attached/submitted,

  9. Cheque or demand draft submitted not cleared by the Bank,

  10. Running places are full,

  11. Disqualified from participation in previous edition

  12. Any other reason.

Q. What options do I have in case my application gets rejected?

Unsuccessful applicants can approach participating NGO’s for available Charity running numbers. Such charity running spaces will be available at a premium, the proceeds going for the benefit of the chosen NGO. List of participating NGO’s offering charity running numbers is uploaded on the event website: www.tcsworld10k.procamrunning.in

Q. Can I transfer my application/registration in favour of another person?

Registrations are NOT TRANSFERABLE.

Q. Can I run with somebody else’s running BIB on race day?

No. Race day images will be screened visually after the race and if any participant is found wearing a running number bib not allotted to him/her, the participant registered for that bib will be disqualified from the race and the subsequent edition of the event in 2016. Further, Procam International Pvt Ltd reserves the right to take necessary legal action against the registered participant and the person who has used the running number bib on race day, for impersonification.

Q. Once applied can I cancel my entry and get refund?

Once you have applied, request for cancellation and refund will not be entertained.

Q. Can I change my race category once I have applied/my entry is confirmed?

Once you have applied for a particular race category, you cannot change your race category.

Q. Will I get a refund of my entry fees on my entry not having been accepted?

Your entry fees will be refunded vide a NEFT transfer to you by 30th June 2015. You will be contacted on your email asking for your NEFT / Bank account details. An amount of Rs 100 will be deducted as processing charges.

Q. When, how and from where do I collect my Running Number Bib?

Running number bib collection:

  • All confirmed participants/their authorized representatives are required to come to the Get Active Expo Bengaluru scheduled from 8th May 2015 to 10th May 2015 in order to collect their running number bibs. No running number will be posted to individual mailing addresses nor distributed on race day, i.e. 17th May 2015.

  • It is mandatory for an Open 10K Run participant to collect his/her running number personally from the Expo. In case of unavoidable circumstances, such runner can send his/her authorised representative to collect running number bib on his/her behalf. Please note, a representative will not be allowed to collect running number bib on behalf of more than ONE Open 10K Run participant.

  • Authorised representative must carry with him/her (a) the website confirmation downloaded from application status on www.tcsworld10k.procamrruning.in, (b) photocopy of photo-identity proof (Aadhar card, PAN card or passport) of the representative and the confirmed participant.

  • Outstation and overseas participants can collect their running number on Saturday, 16th May 2014 at Bengaluru.

Q. To whom will Finisher Medals be given after completion of the race?

Finisher Medals will be given to all World 10K, Open 10K Run, DHL Corporate Champions finishers and Champions with Disability participants. Please note, medals must be collected by the participants after completing the distance on race day. Finisher Medals will NOT be posted to individual participants.

Q. I have registered in Open 10K. If I cannot make it on race day, can I give my running number bib and timing tag to someone else?

Your entry is not transferable. Any transfer of bib/timing tag, whatever may be the reasons, will lead to disqualification of your entry for this edition and you will not be able to apply for the 2016 edition of the TCS World 10K. Further, Procam International Pvt Ltd reserves the right to take necessary legal action against the registered participant and the person who has used the running number bib on race day, for impersonification.

Q. Will I get a goodie bag / runner’s kit?

Goodie bag / runner’s kit will not be given in this edition.
