The TCS World 10k Bangalore, has paved the way to reach out to the less privileged of the society. It has constantly cemented its place as the foremost and the most transparent way of giving back to the society. Such are the numbers – 77 Corporate who fielded Corporate Care Teams, 85 Care Champions and 1200+ iCare Runners reached out to 22,000+ donors who created largest giving for good in this glorious city.
The impact of the stupendous Rs 11.75 Crore raised by 281 NGOs since 2008 is immense. It reminds us every year the ‘Good the event is creating’.
This year is the 7th edition of the 10K Bangalore. It is again time for Bangaloreans to show the nation that you care and believe in doing ‘Good’ for elderly, for the Girl Child, to Save the Environment, believe that being Disabled does not mean you are any different.
At the Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bangalore 2014, you can choose the NGO/cause you wish to support. NGO’s representing causes/issues from environment, child welfare, women empowerment, disability, health, animal welfare; register themselves with the Event’s official Charity Partner, Bangalore Cares. You can choose from any of these listed NGO’s listed with Bangalore Cares. In case your chosen NGO does not feature in the list given on this website, you can urge the NGO to enlist themselves.
Some NGO’s use this event as a platform to raise awareness for the work they undertake, and some to raise amounts for their charitable activities. Each NGO is empowered, under the able supervision of Bangalore Cares, to reach out to corporates and the citizens of Bangalore and India.
You, through this Event, have the opportunity to choose a cause closest to your heart. Fund raising is encouraged through pledge raising, i.e. each individual is encouraged to reach out to his/her friends, colleagues and family in their fund raising mission and accept donations from them, how much ever may be the amount.
You can raise funds for your chosen NGO with the help of a fundraising kit. These kits are available at the Bangalore Cares office given below. This guide to fundraising is also available in a downloadable version. These kits, including the physical kits, are available at no cost. These fundraising kits are designed to motivate and help you decide on the cause to support and raise funds.
Fund raising is facilitated by an easy-to-use model designed for people of all walks of life to raise funds for their preferred cause/NGO.
These are select individuals who commit to raise a minimum of Rs. 2,00,000 in pledges for their chosen cause/NGO. Read more.

Corporate Cares is an ideal opportunity for companies to blend their CSR and HR objectives in a perfect harmony. Corporate Cares is a group of select companies that contribute a minimum of Rs. 1.5 lakhs to a listed NGO of their choice and send a group of 20 employees to participate in the event or a minimum of Rs. 2.25 lakhs to a listed NGO of their choice and send a group of 30 employees to participate in the event.
