CORPORATE CARES

Corporate Cares is a group of select companies that commit to contribute a minimum specified amount to a listed NGO of their choice and send a team/ teams of 20 or 30 employees to participate in the event. Each employee is motivated to raise any amount in pledges on their own. A Company may register more than one team, by making contributions for additional teams.

TEAM 30

Companies that make an upfront non-refundable contribution of INR 225,000 for a registered NGO of their choice can field a team of up to 30 employees. Each employee is motivated to raise any amount in pledges on their own, for the companies chosen cause, or for their own cause.

Out of the total INR 225,000, Bangalore Cares retains an amount of INR 25,000, towards its supporting service costs. The balance amount, post deducting the registration fees of runners (which is paid to Procam International, the Event Promoter), will go to the registered NGO of the company’s choice. The entry fees deducted as for the participation of the 30 employees, and the amount will depend upon the race category an individual employee decides to participate in.

A Company may register more than one team, by making contributions for additional teams.

Registration Process –

  • The Company signs up by filling the ‘Corporate Cares Form’ and making an upfront, non-refundable contribution of INR 2,25,000 vide a cheque in favour of ‘Bangalore Cares Trust’.
  • Once the company registration process is complete, the HR/ SPOC will be provided with an online link, through which he or she can process registrations of the company’s 30 employees.

Individual team members can raise pledges for any registered NGO/ cause of their choice. Cheques or DDs for pledge amount of individual members should be drawn in favour of the NGO and sent to Bangalore Cares. Bangalore Cares will collate all amounts received and forward the cheques to the respective NGOs.

TEAM 20

Companies that make an upfront non-refundable contribution of INR 150,000 for a registered NGO of their choice can field a team of up to 20 employees. Each employee is motivated to raise any amount in pledges on their own.

Out of the total INR 150,000 Bangalore Cares will retain an amount of INR 20,000 towards its supporting service costs. The balance amount, post deducting the registration fees of runners (which is paid to Procam International, the Event Promoter), will go to the registered NGO of the company’s choice. The entry fees deducted as for the participation of the 20 employees, and the amount will depend upon the race category an individual employee decides to participate in.

What Corporate Cares teams can look forward to…

  • Pre Race Day
    • Regular contact and pre race day communication from Procam and Bangalore Cares.
    • Special pledge page on Bangalore Cares website for the company showcasing its CSR initiative through the Event. The company logo will be displayed on its pledge page.
    • Pledge raising workshops conducted by Bangalore Cares on request.
    • Standardised presentations for team leaders to motivate their team members to fundraise.
    • Meeting with Team leaders/ HR representatives post registration.
  • On Race Day
    • Separate holding area within the Sree Kanteerava Stadium for employees who are part of the Corporate Cares team and running the Majja Run.
    • Banner showcasing the company and the NGO it is supporting within the Corporate Cares holding area.
    • Priority line-up at the start of Majja Run.
    • Special running Bibs for all Corporate Cares team members.
    • Event Party invites on 16th May & VIP Marquee invites to the Company head fielding Corporate Care Team 30
    • Special Incentive: Companies where their employees have raised funds of an aggregate amount of INR 75,000 on or before 30th April 2014 will be entitled to have 2  Runner Boards (size 10 ft X 4 ft) showcasing the company name and logo of the NGO they are supporting displayed on race route.
  • Post Race Day
    • Free Race Day Photograph of the top 50 individual fund raisers from across all Corporate Cares teams (subject to image being captured by www.marathon-Photos.com on race day).
    • Processing, reconciliation and acknowledging all pledge cheques received, issuing receipts, and 80G certificates wherever applicable.
    • Company name will be listed on the Bangalore Cares website till launch of Event’s next edition.
    • The highest fundraising Corporate Cares teams will be felicitated in the post event function.
